The Ice We Share
"Na jarenlang gevormd te zijn door zelfverbetering en prestatiedruk, gaat de Duitse filmmaker Vi Reichel, voormalig professioneel kunstschaatser, door de lens van de diepgewortelde Nederlandse schaatscultuur, op zoek naar een nieuwe connectie met het ijs."
The Ice We Share is een experimenteel documentaire-essay van 15 minuten, waarin het ijs wordt onderzocht als materiële getuige. De film stelt de vraag hoe collectieve herinneringen en ecologische verbondenheid een persoonlijk gevoel van ergens thuishoren kunnen creëren. 
In samenwerking met Vi produceer ik deze film met het oog om hem uiteindelijk onder te brengen bij mijn eigen productiehuis. 
After years being shaped by self-improvement and performance pressure German filmmaker Vi Reichel, a former competitive figure skater, begins to search for a new relationship with the ice through the lens of the deeply rooted Dutch culture on the ice. The Ice We Share is a 15-min experimental documentary-essay exploring the ice as material witness, questioning how collective memories can create ecological intimacy and a personal sense of belonging.
